Open Firmware evilness

I finally got this beige G3/333 with 160MB RAM to boot off an older Gentoo CD - On to the next problem- trying to get the Open Firmware on the box to point to the right drive/partition and get the best to boot. I spent the better part of the day trying this, but it has been a big pain.
